Referral Banners

There are many different ways to make money with your blog. You can do it through affiliate networks, creating advertisement space, selling your own e-book, get paid to review products etc. These different ways can add up to a large amount if you are good.

Darren Rowse, founder of ProBlogger.Net, made $72,000 in an e-book launch. He is a great blogger. He has more than 80,000 subscribers and has Google PageRank 5 (as of May 2010). He has provided tons of quality contents for his readers and of course, he gained the trust of his readers, which is one of the reason for his success.

You can create an e-book or help other people to sell their e-books and earn a commission from it. Affiliate networks allow you to find products which you can earn commission from and all that you need to do is to register in the affiliate network and post affiliate links of the product which you want to sell.

Affiliate Networks:
ClickBank is one of the most credible affiliate networks you can find. Billions have been paid to Clickbank's clients and this amount is constantly increasing. ClickBank is free to join and you can start earning as soon as you have registered. Checks will be issued to your address when you meet the minimum threshold of $10.

Advertisement Space:
You can also create advertisement space using third-party websites or getting advertisers to pay you directly. You can use PayPal as a payment processor. PayPal is reliable and almost everyone has a PayPal account. However, I recommend that you use third-party websites as it is much easier to set up the advertisement space. You can use AdvertiseSpace or BuySellAd. Currently, I am using AdvertiseSpace which you can see at the right of my blog. I am considering of switching to BuySellAd as it has a wider base of advertisers.

One of the easiest way to monetize your blog is using AdSense. There are also other ad networks that provides similar service as AdSense. There are also different methods in which you can earn from it, CPC or CPM, which are the most common. If you have large amount of pageviews a month, I recommend that you look for ad networks that pays by CPM. Otherwise, I suggest that you stick to AdSense.

Some bloggers monetize their blogs while others don't. Monetizing your blog does not necessary guarantee that you will earn from it. It depends on your level of traffic and the type of traffic. Stay tune to Bloggitudes by subscribing to Bloggitudes and learn more about monetizing.
